March Luncheon with Featured Speaker Corey McKenna
Meet Corey McKenna!
Corey has been a university professor for the last 20 years, preparing new elementary school teachers in math and science. He is an avid triathlete, having completed 14 full Ironman triathlons and more than 170 triathlons in his career. On top of preparing new teachers, he also coaches athletes to compete in a triathlon, is on the board of the North Idaho Sports Commission, and race directs local events in the area. He is preparing to compete in three Ironman-distance events this year. Corey, and his late wife Jen, moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2012. The two had been married for nearly 15 years before Jen passed away in June 2019 from cystic fibrosis-related complications. The couple was known for their commitment to God and each other. They also have a 2 1/2-year-old Bernese Mountain dog named Samson.
